The Swag Hits a Snag! Big Grin

[Chad] Kelly wasn't invited to the NFL combine because of an NFL conduct policy. He had multiple off-field issues during his collegiate career and was dismissed from Clemson's football team for "detrimental conduct" in April 2014. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to a non-criminal charge of disorderly conduct following a fight with bouncers outside a Buffalo, New York, nightclub.

Kelly stayed out of trouble during his time at Ole Miss, but did make headlines last fall when he went onto the field after a brawl erupted at his brother's high school football game in upstate New York.

Former USC football player Demetris Summers, 33, was sentenced to 8 years in prison after pleading guilty Friday to manufacturing and distributing crack cocaine in Lexington County.

An investigation of Summers’ activities began in 2015, said Lexington County sheriff Jay Koon. Undercover agents made multiple purchases of crack cocaine from him.

Honestly, the system failed Mete. Everyone that should've been looking out for him really only used him for his football talent.

A Florida state attorney said Monday that his office won't decide before the start of Thursday night's NFL draft whether former Florida defensive tackle Caleb Brantley will be formally charged with misdemeanor simple battery.

Brantley, who is considered a potential second-round pick in the draft, is accused of striking a woman and knocking her unconscious during a dispute at a bar in Gainesville, Florida, on April 13.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2707282-3-south-carolina-football-players-arrested-for-alleged-involvement-in-bar-fight

Three University of South Carolina football players—Deebo Samuel, Skai Moore and Jalen Dread—have been accused of assaulting a man in a bar Saturday, according to Teddy Kulmala of The State.

Charges have not been filed in the case, though a police spokeswoman told Kulmala on Tuesday that an investigator had been assigned to look into the matter.

According to Kulmala's report, the alleged assault took place at 3 a.m. Saturday morning at the Five Points bar in Columbia. The 24-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted told police he confronted the South Carolina trio after they had knocked his phone out of his hand.

"The subjects then became agitated, refuting the accusation," per the police report. "After a few seconds, the incident escalated to the subjects physically assaulting him."

Not remotely defending the players, but unless you're absolutely positive...and perhaps the phone is shattered...and other folks witness the blatant act...why would you walk yourself into an arse-whipping? Unless you're Chuck Norris, the outcome is going to suck!

Make up your mind, douchebag!  waiting

Tennessee quarterback Sheriron Jones is on the move again.

The school confirmed Tuesday that the redshirt sophomore has been granted his release after attempting and completing just one pass in one career game at Tennessee.

This isn't the first time that Jones has been in the news for transferring from Tennessee. In January 2016, Jones transferred from Tennessee to Colorado, but he was almost immediately granted his release there and returned to Tennessee the same month. The NCAA allowed Jones to return to Tennessee because he decided to transfer back within a 14-day window.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/19721605/brandon-banks-former-vanderbilt-football-player-found-guilty-rape

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A jury on Friday convicted a former Vanderbilt University football player charged along with three of his teammates in the 2013 gang rape of an unconscious female student.

After about 15 hours of deliberation over two days, the jury found Brandon Banks guilty of one count of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated sexual battery. He was found not guilty on five other counts.

Mr. Banks, while surely deserving on his own of this award today, needs to share the slimelight with the rest of his despicable teammates who were involved in this hideous rape back in 2013. (And to think this guy blames his role in assaulting this girl on bullying...) thumbsdown

Wow, this lame Gamecock tweet gets the award for the day...Are they trying to say Will Muschamp works construction now since he's not cut out to be a football coach??

http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/20117453/hugh-freeze-ole-miss-rebels-resigns-news-conference-set

Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze resigned effectively immediately on Thursday night, a week after he addressed speculation about his job future at SEC Media Days and about six weeks before the Rebels kick off the season against South Alabama.

And then there's this...

Hugh Freeze made one minute call to an escort service!

DOH!!!!!!!!!

Bjork said six days of Freeze's phone records from early January 2016 were turned over to Nutt's attorney, and Freeze was allowed to redact personal phone calls before the records were released. Freeze failed to redact the 313 area code number in question, according to Bjork.

Let this be a lesson to all of you guys. Use your personal phone to call the escorts, not the company phone.

Coincidentally...this could go a long way to actually help Ole Miss in their NCAA investigation.

In that vein, I have to repost this: http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/18748815/hugh-freeze-ole-miss-rebels-defiance-lead-their-ncaa-downfall
